Verdi’s ‘Requiem’ with the Netherlands Philharmonic
On March 9, René Barbera will perform as the tenor soloist in Verdi’s Requiem with the Netherlands Philharmonic, conducted by Lorenzo Viotti.
A celebrated interpreter of this monumental work, Barbera has brought his voice to some of the leading orchestras in cities including Geneva, Tokyo, Oviedo, and Edinburgh. His performances have garnered acclaimed reviews, with The New York Times praising his “clarion and youthful” sound in the Ingemisco section.
Also featuring the Choir of the Dutch National Opera, Barbera is part of the distinguished quartet of soloists, alongside soprano Inna Demenkova, mezzo-soprano Eve-Maud Hubeaux, and bass Anthony Robin Schneider.
