‘IL BARBIERE DI SIVIGLIA’ AT TEATRO CARLO FELICE

René Barbera starts the new year at Genoa’s Teatro Carlo Felice singing his signature role of Count Almaviva from Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia on January 15, 17, & 19. This engagement marks Mr. Barbera’s second run as Count Almaviva this season; he revisits the role next month for his debut in Japan with Tokyo’s New National Theater, and in June at the Teatro Regio di Torino.

Alvise Casellati will conduct the Chorus and Orchestra of the Teatro Carlo Felice in Filippo Crivelli’s splendid and colorful production. Mr. Barbera shares the stage with Annalisa Stroppa as Rosina, Alessandro Luongo as Figaro, Paolo Bordogna as Don Bartolo, and Giorgio Giuseppini as Basilio, among others.
